L'une des toutes meilleurs bd humoristiques de ces dernières années, tout simplement. Adoptez-les, vous ne pouvez pas être déçu !
J'ai découvert cette BD, ces personnages, et cet auteur il y a maintenant une petite dizaine d'années et aussi incroyable que ça puisse paraitre, j'ai sur le champs classé le tout dans mon panthéon littéraire personnel auprès de gens du calibre de Molière, Freud, Cervantès, Nietszche, Céline, Voltaire ou Diderot.Il y a là une verve comique d'une puissance qui rappelle parfois le premier (j'ai assez souvent pleuré de rire à certaines aventures du gamin et de son tigre).Une capacité et une justesse d'introspection qui font penser qu'à coup sûr l'auteur est un familier de la théorie psychalytique ( ma main au feu ).Un couple de personnages qui s'impose d'emblée comme un des plus éminemment sympathiques de l'histoire de la littérature ( aux côtés de rien moins que Don Quichotte et Sancho Panza ou Jacques le fataliste et son maître ).On avait jamais parlé de l'enfance comme ça, plus spécifiquement côté petits garçons, avant Watterson ( une statue pour ce gars-là !).Deux choses importantes pour conclure. D'abord sur l'auteur : ce gars s'est arrêté ( = a arrêté de produire ) en pleine gloire quand il a pensé qu'il ne pourrait plus continuer au même niveau de qualité. Pour moi, ça situe le personnage d'un point de vue artistique et personnel. En second lieu, il faut dire que, malgré l'expressivité formidable du dessin qui peut attirer les enfants, cette BD s'adresse aux adultes avant tout, compte-tenu de la sophistication de ce genre d'humour qui échappe même souvent aux adolescents. Calvin et Hobbes sont nés et dorénavant ils sont immortels.Tiens, je deviens lyrique. Merci Bill Watterson.

I bought it as a gift for someone who is working on their French, and they couldn't be happier.My one criticism is that these are much thinner than the original Calvin and Hobbes books. They are labeled as 392 pages, but this one is 63. For reference, the original Calvin and Hobbes collection spans 8 books, this collection spans 24.I still would have purchased this item, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed.
